The first type of fraud in this educational line is the setting up of virtual unaccredited colleges. These colleges are not recognized by any education authority hence the degrees attained are useless; money and time is wasted.
Sometimes you may come across a very well advertised online college degree provider who will con you of your hard earned cash. They will communicate with you till you do the payments. After the crooks receive the payments they severe contacts with you. In most cases they will give you personal accounts to send money to. These accounts will be closed immediately after the money is received.
Some genuine online college degrees centers will over market themselves. When searching for places to take you degree you might come across colleges that give wrong information to entice you to register with them. After registration, you realize you have been duped; no course materials are sent, college accreditation is fake, you are asked to pay for materials and other course requirements, no personal tutors are provided and many others.
The website providing the online college degree may be insecure, or the owners sell your personal information to third parties intentionally. This leads to identity theft and spamming of your email. It is illegal to do this for it leads to several crimes do in the name of the student.
